Nuclear Wild forest
Round up your squad for a full-on #LoveMud experience at Nuclear Wild Forest, where you’ll climb, crawl, and splash your way through our famous outdoor obstacle course. It’s the ultimate test of teamwork and fun — and you’ll definitely leave with memories (and probably mud) that last.
Our Hen & Stag Wild Forest sessions are led by qualified instructors and tailored to your group’s energy level, so everyone can get involved — no matter how competitive (or delicate) the group might be. You’ll tackle a mix of natural and man-made obstacles, with the option to finish on our legendary Deathslide into water or even add ziplines for extra thrills.
Afterwards, clean up in our indoor washdowns, grab a drink or some food in the heated party room, or relax around the fire pit to share the day’s best moments. It’s the perfect mix of mud, mischief and celebration.
Nuclear Adventures
For a hen or stag party that’s a little less muddy but every bit as thrilling, head to Nuclear Adventures. You’ll take on our High Ropes Course, soar through the trees on the Zip Trek, or unleash your inner Viking with a round of Axe Throwing — all under the guidance of our friendly instructors.
Our party packages are flexible and can be tailored to your group’s vibe — whether you want high-adrenaline adventure, a bit of friendly competition, or just an excuse to laugh together while facing your fears (and cheering each other on from below).
With catering options, a Party Den for celebrations, and full facilities including toilets, changing areas, and parking, your day will be seamless from start to finish — leaving you free to focus on having fun before the big day.

- Nuclear Races: Our legendary obstacle course races are packed with mud, water, and laughter — the perfect mix for a truly unforgettable send-off. Work together, get messy, and enjoy the buzz of crossing the finish line side by side. Events are held in May and September.
- Nuclear Fit: Get the group moving with this high-energy outdoor fitness race featuring six unique fitness stations. With plenty of encouragement (and a few laughs along the way), it’s a great way to bond before the big day. Events are held in May, July, and September.
- Nuclear Mud Tribe: Prefer laughter over competition? Nuclear Mud Tribe is all about fun, teamwork, and muddy good times. Everyone can join in, no matter their fitness level — expect smiles, splashes, and plenty of memories. Held in September.

My daughter had her 11th birthday party here yesterday. What a fabulous day she and her group of friends had!
From start to finish, Sam organised our party so efficiently and was a fantastic host and guide around the Wild Forest obstacle course. She made the day fun and exciting, was enthusiastic and took great care of every child on the course getting them all involved and enjoying every moment. Mud, splashing and laughs all round for my daughter and her friends. They all had an absolutely amazing time!

I couldn’t recommend Nuclear Wild Forest enough! We took a 240 year 7 students and all the students LOVED the experience! It was great to see all the students really getting stuck in and using great teamwork to complete all the activities! The organisation from the Wild Forest team is amazing, getting all students involved even if they are feeling slightly nervous. The students really enjoyed all the activities, especially the water ones! It was a great time had by all!

We really enjoyed visiting the Kelvedon Hatch Secret Nuclear Bunker and highly recommend it. Both kids and adults found it fascinating. Mobile phones lose signal inside, which makes the atmosphere even more eerie and immersive. Built in the 1950s during the Cold War, the bunker lies 125 feet underground and was designed to shelter hundreds of government officials. Everything was so well prepared: there is a hospital, living quarters, and even a BBC broadcast studio. Walking through the corridors, you really sense how seriously life underground was planned. A unique museum that perfectly combines history, atmosphere, and a touch of dark humor – definitely worth a visit.

I recently visited Kelvedon Hatch Secret Nuclear Bunker, and it was a truly moving and one-of-a-kind experience. The serene, rural setting creates an eerie yet captivating atmosphere that sets the tone from the start. The underground bunker itself, a three-storey Cold War installation built beneath a seemingly normal bungalow, is exceptionally well preserved. The handheld audio guides brought history to life, allowing us to feel what it was like to be one of the 600 personnel stationed here during a crisis. The self-guided tour is easy to follow, and the exhibits cover the site’s full history comprehensively. The bunker is a stark architectural marvel, set 125 ft underground, connected by a 100‑yard reinforced tunnel. Overall, the visit was informative, poignant, and thoughtfully organized. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in Cold War history or unique hidden landmarks.

In my opinion Nuclear Races is the most fun of all the OCR franchises I have entered so far,
The obstacles are numerous, varied and challenging enough to be interesting without being overly difficult, there is a very good level of decent quality mud even without pre event rainfall which I love, everyone who works there was friendly and helpful from the on course marshals to those in charge and were willing to go the extra mile to make my experience as enjoyable as possible, I fully recommend all Nuclear Races events to any OCR fan and it will defiantly be somewhere i hope to visit many times in the future
