About Nuclear Fit

Nuclear Fit is the ultimate outdoor fitness competition, designed to test you physically and mentally. The race format combines six 1km trail runs with intense fitness stations, including sled pulls and tyre flips. It’s the perfect test of strength, endurance and determination, all set in the great outdoors. Take on Storm without the running, share the challenge in a three-person Relay, step up to Pro for an even tougher test, or get children aged 9–15 involved with Nuclear Fit Rookies. It’s a fresh alternative to the traditional fitness competition.

FORMAT

We have a variety of formats at each event, for a variety of ages and abilities. The fitness stations are all located in the buzzing central arena called The Core.  The trail run will include 2 x 4ft hurdle obstacles. Waves start every 10 minutes and you have 2 hours to complete the race. Your chip timing tag will record your overall time and the split for each functional fitness station and each 1km run.

FIT

Nuclear Fit is made up of a 1km trail run alternating with a fitness station repeated 6 times. You can
race as an individual, double or test your limits with pro.

STORM

45 minutes to complete as many of the functional fitness stations back to back as you can, with zero running involved. Race as an individual or double.

Relay

A race designed for teams of three. Two stations and two runs per person. How you split the runs and functional fitness stations is up to you. A great introduction race.

ROOKIES

For young athletes, aged 9-11 and 12-15. They will tackle six trail runs, alternating with six functional fitness stations. Lighter weights and shorter distances than the adult race.

The competitor picks up their bag to run 40m back towards the finish line. The workout is complete once they cross the finish line.
